General Information
Founded in 1983 by Fr Hernán Alessandri: This initiative offers a home to 1.700 boys and girls in 9 regions in Chile; in addition it is active in Spain, Burundi and Peru. As a Christian social welfare organisation, Maria Ayuda has taken the lead for 30 years in the battle against the abuse of children. The values of Maria Ayuda:

Mission / Vision
Maria Ayuda attemts to give children a positive experience of family life, so that the harm they have suffered through abuse can be healed, and so that the children can be strengthened in their sense of dignity and self-worth.
